Joan Welham

Joan was born in Swansea and has lived there all her life. She started ceramics at an extra-mural course at Swansea University and has worked in clay for 20 years. She has exhibited her work at Llantarnum Grange, the Glyn Vivien gallery and the Ostreme Centre in Mumbles.

Joan has a studio at the craft workshops in Catherine Street, Swansea. Her ceramics are in private collections in both the UK and abroad. Whilst her work is mostly hand-built in stoneware and porcelain, handmade greetings cards are also a speciality.
