Dan Santillo
Photography
Dan's interest in photography started at the age of 12 when he received a bright red Konica point and shoot 35mm camera for his birthday. However, after graduating with a degree in Satellite Communications he worked as a software engineer for 7 years before deciding an office life wasn't for him. In April 2005, he took the plunge and left his fulltime, secure job and became a Freelance Photographer and Writer. Now he spends much of his time on Gower and in the Brecon Beacons trying to capture the beauty of the landscape. He says that nothing beats standing on the coast or mountain and seeing the sun rise and the new day start.
He has been regularly published in Country Quest, writing about Gower and supplying photos for the articles and front covers. He has also been published in national magazines such as Camping, Country Walking, Practical Photography and the Outdoor Adventure Guide.
